Woodworking like any sport needs a protective device. Wear a cup. I also am a woodworker. I have had kickbacks put some serious injuries to my stomach. Those hurt bad enough. I WOULD NOT WANT MR> Woody get hit by a kickback or shards of wood. OUCH
I would use an apron for a lot of workshop jobs - metalwork, mechanical, craft, painting and so-on, as well as woodwork...
Some suitable footwear, eye and hearing protection at appropriate times, too..
And a hat and sunscreen when outside for a while.
Otherwise, most clothing is superfluous and unnecessary when it is warm enough to work nude.
