Naturist girl band - your opinions :-) Australian Nudist Forward to friends

    Hi,

I was wondering what you guys reckon to having a female orientated original pop/rock band to promote the nudist way of life? Do you think it'd be successful, and be able to get younger people to enjoy our way of life if they were marketed properly?

I'm currently at work on it, but so far the only member I've got is a female singer and she has yet to go to a nudist club or beach with me. I'm feeling rather frustrated that I've put out so many ads for it around Brisbane and there are a good many girls who like the idea but can't seem to want to commit to the band's ethos and philosophy.

If any of you want to hear what some of the songs sound like, could you please e-mail me and I will send you the link as posting URLs to sites is disallowed on here.

I think something needs to be done to make our lifestyle more attractive to younger people as is being done throughout most of the Europe and now the UK and USA.

Young people want people they WANT to see naked, and who are accessible to them. Let's face it, a group of hairy balding bearded C&W hicks in their 50's aren't exactly appealing to youth culture.

This band will be incorporating elements of pop, rock, dance, funk, punk, and bits of jazz in its songs.
An all girl nude band? Don't make me piss myself laughing. The only people you will attract as an audience are the people you despise.
If any guys were to behave badly at our gigs, you can be sure I'd give them a tongue lashing or have security throw them out.
How often do YOU yourself attend a nude beach or club? Judging by your attitude I'd say never!
I do attend nudist clubs and beaches, and I do find that the participation of younger people at them is very low compared to that of the middle-aged to elderly.
I don't know about clubs, they don't interest me. But I do know that you will find people (people meaning men and women) of all ages and body sizes happily enjoying the day on the beach.

Your problem - and it will continue to be a problem - is that, in Queensland you have no legal nude beaches. Do you not think that should being naked on a beach become legal, that you will get more people going to them?
It doesn't have to be that way. Simply vote out the politicians who oppose nudism and public nudity and give support for those who do. I do agree that more people would be going to nudist beaches if it was made legal, but unless more people are prepared to stand up and show the politicians that we are a force to be reckoned with, nothing's going to change.
The problem with young people these days is NOT because they don't want to see old people. More like they have issues with their own bodies thanks to advertising that they think they need to be thin and gorgeous to be accepted, to be seen naked. Rubbish, it's OK to be yourself.
That's not what I've heard from the young people I've spoken with on this matter.
[Naturist girl band? NO! Besides, where do you expect to have them perform, especially in Queensland?
Anywhere that will book us. Popular music has been used to make homosexuality and witchcraft 'cool' with young people, why not nudism as well?

i agree something needs to be done about making the lifestyle more appealing to more people in there 20's, we are a nudist couple in our 20's and find it hard to socialise with others in our age range of the same lifestyle..
when we go to nudist beach etc everyone is 40-50plus...

What's wrong with fat bearded guys over 50 Dario? Maybe there are more nudists which fit that description than the young teen girls you are trying to attract. One has to really wonder about your motives, and perhaps your mentality Dario.

    gymnoboy write:
shut up nudebrissiecpl, you bigoted freak.

Wow, aren't you just the charmer! Guess who is the one coming off bigoted in this thread.

An all girl nude band? Don't make me piss myself laughing. The only people you will attract as an audience are the people you despise.

How often do YOU yourself attend a nude beach or club? Judging by your attitude I'd say never! I don't know about clubs, they don't interest me. But I do know that you will find people (people meaning men and women) of all ages and body sizes happily enjoying the day on the beach. Well, at least in Sydney. I go weekly during summer and I see the same people there all the time.

Your problem - and it will continue to be a problem - is that, in Queensland you have no legal nude beaches. Do you not think that should being naked on a beach become legal, that you will get more people going to them? I'm not talking of just a beach where it's tolerated like A Bay, even though you're still under the threat of arrest.

The problem with young people these days is NOT because they don't want to see old people. More like they have issues with their own bodies thanks to advertising that they think they need to be thin and gorgeous to be accepted, to be seen naked. Rubbish, it's OK to be yourself.

Naturist girl band? NO! Besides, where do you expect to have them perform, especially in Queensland?

Lobby your politicians for legal nude beaches? YES!

Just like the rest of your nonsense, you have two chances of getting all all nude girl band together Dario. Why does it have to be an all girl band anyway?

    nakeddazza,

Do you know how young people (especially girls and women) perceive nudists in the main?

They are very visual and aesthetically minded people, looks and physical presentation tend to matter a lot to them.

I've known many a young person who's said "I don't want to go to nudist beaches or clubs, too many fat and slobby old people who go to them".

It's time that this stereotype changed for the better.
