Even overweight people look better without clothes, somehow the nudity just puts things into proportion....having said this, I also think that people should pursue healthy choices in their lives and eating properly and keeping ine's weight in proportion to their height and body type should be part of that... We try to stay physicaly fit. But (LOL) soemtimes life interferes: middle age, hormone therapy, and etc, etc..
T'aint easy in the American culture and we would never judge or reject anyone based on physical proportions...after all none of us are without flaws...none of us!....and that is what it partlya bout isn't it, accepting ourselves and each other as we are, without false modesty and concealment.
It's about attitude and personality, you can be the most proportional well developed couple in the world but if you have a rat's ass attitude, we're not going to want to be around you.
Part of the message is that skinny people often want to ahve more weight, and fat people want to lose weight and nudism is about, "forget theat stuff, be who you are and the bgest you can with what you have...we come in all shapes and sizes and all lokk incredibly good with our clothes off!
I understand completely what you are saying! Its silly though, your wife is a pretty lady and her smile says she has a sweet personality, so, tell her not to worry about what other people say or think, its their loss if they wont hang out or get to know her!
This is for carbuffcpl.
In all honesty, if you are talking about being on a nude beach or in a resort, it doesn't matter, it isn't a beauty competition. Nudism is about yourself, not other peoples' perception of you. So really, who cares if you have a few extra pounds.
I wish the rest of the world looked at people and life like nudists do. My wife is a full figured woman with large breasts and men look at her in a sexy way but the rest of the world really make her feel like a freak. She has received some really rude comments by strangers, strange stares and been passed over at work for her size. Most people don't want to hang out with us because of my wife's size especially in public. She has developed a real bad image of herself and it is very difficult to get her to enjoy nudity even with those that will except her.
Just another view from the other side of the fence.
Part of the reason I became a nudist was to become more comfortable in my own skin and develop a positive body image. As someone who has been skinny his whole life, i never felt comfortable at the beach or pool in swim trunks. Funny how after becoming a nudist I felt so much more at ease with my own body. Everbody.....every "body" is different. We should celebrate those differences. The human body is a wonder in all it's shapes and sizes
