Naked in church? Religion Forward to friends

Hyperpoly, I?d like to address a couple of other comments you made in previous posts.

    You said:
?Please take note: Being a nudist ALWAYS has an intense sexual intent. ALWAYS. No matter where, when, with whom, regardless of age, gender, etc. It ALWAYS has sexual intent. And anyone who would try to tell you differently is lying. ALWAYS. ?

It would be better for you to say that this is your opinion. Since you stand so strongly against nudity I can only assume you are not a nudist. As I have said in another post, I am. I can tell you that, for me and many others I know, being a nudist DOES NOT have a sexual intent. Of course, according to you, I am always lying. So regardless of what I say you will say I am lying. But I am not. I have no reason to lie.

    You said:
?Revelations tells us not to add or subtract from it. Seems rather clear to me.?

It seems clear to me as well, but I believe you are also missing something in another passage. In 1st Timothy 2:15 it says, ?Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.? I wonder how well you have actually studied the Word of God. Oh, perhaps in the English version you have studied it, but what about the original Hebrew and Greek? Have you bothered to look at the meanings of some of the words? The context in which they are used? Or did you limit yourself to the English as so many others do?

Be forewarned that I will provide full support for what I believe and counter any statements you make that are incorrect or inaccurate.

This comment is more for Hyperpoly than anybody else.

Please read this with an open mind.

I am a Christian, bought with the blood of Christ, saved through the grace of God?s gift. I am also a nudist and have been for many years. I have an intense knowledge of the original Hebrews and Greek languages, the meanings and definitions of the words used.

You use examples of where nudity is wrong as shown in the bible. I would like to address some of these comments and point out some things that you are misunderstanding. You make note of Adam and Eve teaching that nudity is sin. Allow me to clarify this for you, and understand that you are not the only one who believes this.

The passage you are referring to is Genesis 3:7 where is says their eyes were open and they knew they were naked. The word in the Hebrew for naked is
eyrom (ay-rome') which means ?laid open and bare; to have ones sins or mistakes visible.? It does not refer to their physical coverings. So now the question you will ask is ?Why did they sew fig leafs together if it wasn?t to cover their naked bodies?? Have you ever seen a child that has done something wrong and tries to hide by putting their hands over their face? It is the same thing here, a physical attempt to cover their sinful action, disobedience to God?s commands.

A question for you: How many children did Adam and Eve have BEFORE they were removed from the garden?

    More to follow?

The problem with religions is, that they are very much focused on the rituals and not on the most important issue of all: trying to find God.
Did anybody of you tried to find God or the great Cosmic Energy with the means of your naked body? Even stronger, by means of sexual energy...?
Forget the religions for a moment and look for a religion-free way of finding God.
Look on the Internet sites of Tantra (what is NOT a synonym for sex) or, if you do not want to find God without clothes, look on a site of Kriya Yoga.

with a lot of nude blessings.

frankly i think it would great if it wasnt for the ones that are purest and think being nude is a sin and not to be shared in a public. if anyone knows of a church in my area i would go.

Hi Fred love your pic its true Religion sometimes gives us the guilts but if you are sincere and believe there is nothing wrong with the natural body then it shouldn't be hard to figure out... The Lord make us in his image and we should appreiciate our bodies no one is perfect and just enjoy and remember the golden rule.... Have fun Friend

I'm a Christian, and I'm also interested in naturism. I've had some problems reconciling the two for a while, but I think I've finally come to the point where I can be naked and not have sexual feelings. Nudity only equals sex if you want it to. Really, being barefoot and naked is very natural, feels nice on the skin, and is a great way to relax and experience God.

I'm Jewish and have no problem w/ being naked. Everyone is born naked, what's the problem. I believe all of G-d's children should/could be naked. I love being naked. Peace, Kim from Cali

The only sin is what you do with your nakedness. Many of the old testiment profits prayed naked as a symbol of humilty. Isaiah was commanded by God to wander through the wilderness naked (probable also to humble him). Jesus was naked on the cross. The examples of nakedness being a sin also involve something else happining. It is also interesting to find that the hebrew word for naked changes when discussing naked and sinning.
I believe part of the goal of life is to return to the garden. After all this symbolizes perfection

    Who the hell cares?

I am not particularly religious but I don't care for extremists.

Hyperpoly, need to change your name to Hyperventilation. Take a paper bag, put your head between your legs and breath in and out. At least you will be able to hear yourself a bit more clearly!

While we are debating whether nudity is condoned by the Bible, why not debate everything else in the Bible?

I thought we were all created in God's image. How could he therefore be offended. The Vatican etc is full of nudes - painted, carved, woven!

Whether you are nude or not it makes no difference. If God can see you in church under a lead roof, don't you think he can see past your frilly knickers?

You can read what you like into the text in the Bible. This thread could go on to judgement day.

    Don't go there!

    Good one.

Hope you find your bible soon. Better yet, get a new one. It seems your old one is missing pages anyway.

Speak for yourself, believe what you will. You are mistaken. Show up some time when I am nude, and prove I have sexual intent. You can be nude without sex, and you can have sex without nudity, how are they the same thing?

A church is a group of people, not a building.

    True, how very, very true.

Nudity is not a sin. The bible says nothing about it being a sin, it does mention being ashamed of it. If you are not ashamed of it, go for it, there is no sin.

Genisis:When they realized they were naked, they covered themselves with leaves of fig.Until then everything was fine. Why then, can we not try to overcome the mistakes of our foreparents and make this world a better place by not accusing people of being evil when they are in fact not? There's too much emphasis on pointing out bad in people, let's look for the good.Maybe then,we'll see ourselves as we truely are.

True that in Genesis 2:25 they did not feel shame of their nakedness. However since the woman took the forbidden fruit from the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil." (Ge 2:17). They hid knowing that they were naked and were ashamed. Their sin was eating the forbidden fruit! Only because they ate it did they even know about being naked. So be naked if you want, your sin will only be of lust of another being either adult ery or fornication. I have my own mind, I choose where to sin or not. I don't need a naked woman in front of me to sin. I can visualize one from the many that I have seen before. That would be my choice to go there thus sin.
