I agree totally. There is a public park right in the middle of bavaria in Germany and anyone can go nude. We should have that here.

I am a nudist.I love the feeling of playing volleyballon the beachswimming in the water and getting an all over tan.Didn't get so much this year.Worked most weekends

I don't think it's possible to be both. The nudist is pleased with his / her appearance and doesn't care about how he / she looks...while the exhibitionist has a need to show off and to feel "better than the others".

this is the kind of question where there are more grey area answers than black and white. It all boils down to what definition you tend to use and everyone seems to have a diferent definition anyway. I know that I enjoy being nude in social situations because it is like any other situation in public where half the fun can be seeing and being seen. I am comfortable with being nude and dont consider myself an exhibitionist unless I am wearing my trenchcoat with nothing but socks and sneakers and make a point of being an exhibitionist by opening the trench coat. But at the beach the trench coat can be hot and stuffy so it is much nicer to just start out naked and stay that way. So I say the question really should be more if you are nude at a nude beach with other nudists are you really being an exhibitionist ? The people on the bluffs above the beach straining to get a glimpse may like to think so, but then I think they are just voyuers. So I don't know if that helped you at all, I know it left me confused and I am the one that wrote it! Bottom line is just being comfortable with yourself and not seeking a particular label .

I feel exactly the same way. I guess I'm also voyeuristic. I like to look too! But I also like to be looked at, at least by ladies.

Maybe both. I think it depends on the situation. When I am with other nudists all I am feeling is the sense of freedom and relaxation. But my first experience was very different. I had just gotten out of the shower and with out getting dressed, walked into the living room to tell my wife something not knowing she had invited four of her female co-workers over. They all noticed me at the same time and their conversation went dead silent. My wife broke the ice by saying (Oh I don't believe you've meet my husband.) She started introducing each one of them to me and I guess out of Habit I walked up to them and began shaking hands. It was a very strange, and quite arousing feeling being completely naked in front of four very sexy looking clothed females. By the time I had gotten to the last lady I could feel myself becoming erect. And to top it off she began to have a conversation with me. I had no where to go, I felt like I was on stage. It wasn't long before giggles and smiles broke out between the group, and I glanced down and noticed that I was nearly completely erect. I finally was able to excuse myself and leave the room. So again I think it all depends on the situation.

I never thought of myself as an exhibitionist but after reading this entire post I would have to say that I am. I DO like being seen nude by others. I also love just being nude.

I think there is a certain level of exhibitionist in many of us, including myself.
When I see other nudists, yes I look, and to be honest if others didnt take a good look at me at times I would probably be rather dissapointed.
I still get a thrill being naked say at the beach where there is nobody else around but its just better when there are other people to see and them to see me.

    Re:

It's the same for myself, we all like to think people like what they see.

ps. Nakedlady2000 I'd love to email you but I'm not a gold member, anyway of getting in touch??

I think there has to be a degree of exhibitionist in all of us to go naked in public, I know that certainly I am and always have been.
It gives a feeling of excitement at times depending where I am and what I'm doing, I think all of us crave a thrill in one way or another, be it being naked in public, to jumping out of an aircraft with nothing but a piece of cloth between you and splat, it's what makes us who we are.

    Nudist or exhibitionist?

Nudist or exhibitionist this is a beginners question. Nude beaches are so much more boring then the novices expects. Sure there are naked people to look at and to look at you. Everyone is naked and it just has a different feel than being clothed with him or her. At most club the folks are friendly and soon you will talking to naked men and women will you probably check out their parts will they probably check you out.

When I walk visitors around the club I am bare and they are clothed for the most part. Many women will take off their tops as they walk around. My favorite was a young woman who came to the gate by herself and I was asked to show her around I started to say she could stay dressed and she shouted ?I to get naked?. I said go ahead and she was ready only wearing a sundress with nothing under it.

    Such fun

Definitly you are both. And when ever you do go out public in the nude just act like you would with clothes on

I think that perhaps you can spend too much time looking for boxes to fit into, rather than seeing who we are as individuals.
    no clothes, no labels?

I don't get to be naked as often as I would like, but when do outdoors I definitely have an exhibitionist streak. This may or may not involve arousal, but if the former I make sure that the audience is appropriate.
